Curtis and Tompkins Laboratories, founded in 1878 as a wine testing lab in San Francisco, may be the oldest privately held, independent testing laboratory in the United Sates. C&Ts environmental services were initiated in 1982 and have been continually expanded to address client needs since then. Today C&T labs provides a comprehensive array of environmental analytical services to industrial, engineering/consulting and government clients locally, nationally, and internationally with a staff of 85 chemists and technicians and 45,000 square feet of lab facilities located in Berkeley, CA.

C&T′s growth results from developing long term business relationships through dedication to client service, consistent technology improvements and a long term capable management team. C&T provides analyses of groundwater, storm water, wastewater, drinking water, soil, ambient air, source air, soils, sediment, hazardous waste, solid waste, and biota.

We leverage the production of our measurement data using information technology that allows our clients to meet their project goals for profitability, timely completion and quality validation.
